I am a research scientist at DeepMind working on AI safety. I did my PhD in statistics and machine learning at Harvard on building interpretable models, and my undergrad and Masters at the University of Toronto in math and statistics.
I co-founded the Future of Life Institute, a non-profit that works on ensuring the continued survival of humanity by mitigating technological risks, and promotes AI safety research and outreach.
In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing, blues and contra dancing, hiking, meditating and singing.
